Pastoral Care Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in the pastoral care volunteer program at Doctors Community Hospital! We enjoy working with dependable and friendly volunteers who complement the quality care that our employees provide to patients, families, guests and the community.

To be considered for our pastoral care volunteer program, please follow the below instructions:

  • Carefully review and complete the Pastoral Care Volunteer Application
  • Return the full packet to Volunteer Services with two letters of reference (one of the references must be from your religious/spiritual leader) and a copy of your ordination certificate
  • Attend one of the scheduled volunteer orientations 
  • Schedule a personal interview with Volunteer Services to help us determine your areas of interest.

Lay Healthcare Chaplaincy Training (LHCT) Program is a non-sectarian, non-denominational training, designed to help participants provide competent pastoral/spiritaul care to patients and families in a hospital setting.
