Doctors Community Hospital Recognized by U.S. News and World Report

LANHAM, Md. (July 28, 2020) – U.S. News and World Report has again ranked Doctors Community Hospital, now part of Luminis Health, among the top hospitals in the region for select procedures and conditions. U.S. News and World Report rated Doctors Community Hospital as high performing in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and heart failure.

U.S. News and World Report evaluated more than 4,500 hospitals across the U.S. The methodology used to rate Doctors Community Hospital as high performing in heart failure included the review of risk-adjusted survival, discharges to home, blood clot prevention, noninvasive breathing aids and other care-related indicators. The methodology used to rate high performance for COPD included nurse staffing, patient experience and patient survival.
