Databases

PubMed

PubMed is the National Library of Medicine's Internet interface for searching the MEDLINE database. MEDLINE is a bibliographic database of over 11 million citations dating from the mid-1960's. MEDLINE covers the fields of medicine, nursing, dentistry, veterinary medicine, the health care system, and the pre-clinical sciences. References are added/updated weekly. MEDLINE contains bibliographic citations and author abstracts from more than 4,500 biomedical journals published in the United States and 70 other countries. Coverage is worldwide, but most records are from English-language sources or have English abstracts. For more information see the PubMed Fact Sheet at the National Library of Medicine.
