In all patient care areas, except the Critical Care Center, visiting hours begin at 11:00 a.m and ends at 8:00 p.m. each day.
- For their safety and protection, children younger than age 12 cannot visit patients in the hospital. Also, they cannot be left unattended in any part of the hospital.
- Visitors displaying flu like symptoms will not be allowed to enter patient care units. Symptoms include: runny nose, cough, and/or a fever higher than 100 degrees.
- In the Emergency Center, you will be advised by the unit staff regarding visiting hours and regulations.
- These policies are subject to change as DCH continues to monitor the severity of the flu during the next several months.

Critical Care Visiting Hours are: 11:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m.
These visiting hours are to ensure the safety of our staff and patients. When the announcement is made that visiting hours are over in the evening, relatives, significant others, friends need to leave the Critical Care waiting area. Exceptions will be made by the Director of Critical Care or the Administrative Nursing Supervisor.
The Gift Shop
A wide variety of merchandise is available in the Gift Shop including magazines, cards, flowers, snacks, toiletries and gifts. The Gift Shop is located on the first floor, in the lobby, and is open during these hours:
Monday thru Friday 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday & Sunday 11 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Our cafeteria offers a wide variety of hot and cold selections, including salad bar, soups, fresh fruit, daily chef specials and a self-serve deli bar. The cafeteria is located on the first floor, next to the elevators, and is open from 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. seven days a week.
Breakfast 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m.
Lunch 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Limited Lunch 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Dinner 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Services for the Hearing Impaired
Interpreter services and TTY access may be arranged by asking your nurse or the Administrative Nursing Supervisor for assistance. All bedside televisions can be set for closed-captioning.
Special Communication Needs
If you need communication devices that are required by the Americans with Disabilities Act, please contact your nurse who can make arrangement to have them provided for you.
In keeping with our passion for caring for our community, Doctors Community Hospital has instituted a smoke-free policy in all parts of the hospital campus including all buildings, grounds, sidewalks and parking lots. There is an ATM located on the first floor of the hospital, in the lobby, across from the Gift Shop.
There are vending machines located in the Cafeteria. Vending machines are also located on the 2nd floor of the hospital across from the elevators and in the North Building on the 2nd floor to the right as you exit the elevator.
Pay phones are located on the first floor of the hospital in the Emergency Department waiting room and in the lobby across from the gift shop and on the second floor, by the elevators of the North Building.
The local and national newspapers are available in the Gift Shop and in the vending machines outside the second floor Outpatient and Surgical entrance.
