Doctors Community Hospital - Passion for Caring

Opened in 1975 by a group of leading community physicians, Doctors Community Hospital is a private, not-for-profit hospital located in Lanham, Maryland. The hospital, which is one and one-half miles from the Baltimore-Washington Parkway and 495, is focused on meeting the health care needs of Prince George’s County and the region.

Doctors Community Hospital currently operates 200 medical/surgical beds, admits 12,000 patients annually, treats more than 55,000 Emergency Center patients and employs 1,300 individuals. Our medical staff is comprised of more than 600 physicians.

The hospital offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services, a number of specialty and subspecialty services, and a full range of ancillary and support services.

To better meet the growing needs of the community DCH serves, construction is currently underway to build a new patient tower, professional office building, parking garage and regional Cancer Center. Read more about our expansion.
