Lanham, MD – Doctors Community Hospital’s Freedom from Smoking Program is designed to help people during their journeys toward smoke-free and healthier living. In addition to support and education, participants of this free eight-week program receive blood pressure screenings and carbon monoxide level monitoring.
According to the American Lung Association, smoking can cause cancer, heart disease, pulmonary disease, stroke, diabetes and other preventable conditions. Doctors Community Hospital’s Freedom from Smoking Program helps people during their journeys toward smoke-free and healthier living.
This free eight-week program provides participants with in-depth information, reliable resources, interactive discussions, guest speakers and support services – all within a nurturing and compassionate environment.

This program is supported by a smoking cessation and tobacco education services grant from the Maryland Center at Bowie State University. Additional partners include the Prince George’s County Health Department and Maryland’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
